Microblogging service Twitter reported on the work in the second quarter of the 2019 financial year: the company managed to improve all key performance indicators.

Thus, revenue on a global scale amounted to $841 million. This is an 18% increase compared to the result for the second quarter of 2018, when revenue was $711 million.

Net income, calculated in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), has increased by an order of magnitude. If in the second quarter of 2018 the company earned about $100 million, now it is $1,1 billion. True, the bulk of the profit was received through tax incentives, while the adjusted net profit was $37 million.

The daily monetized audience of active Twitter users in the last quarter amounted to 139 million people. For comparison: a year earlier this figure was 122 million. Thus, the growth on an annualized basis was 14%.

Advertising brought in the bulk of the revenue — $727 million fell to its share. Growth compared to the second quarter of 2018 was at the level of 21%.

It is also noted that in the current financial quarter the company expects to receive from $815 million to $875 million in revenue.
