New trailer for Ghostrunner shows fast-paced ninja parkour in a cyberpunk world

Publisher All in! Games, along with developers from One More Level, 3D Realms and Slipgate Ironworks, have unveiled a new gameplay trailer for the curious first-person shooter Ghostrunner. At the same time, fresh screenshots and some details of this cyberpunk parkour have been published.

In the video, for example, you can see how the main character bypasses the enemies protected by shields, attacking them from behind; how he uses the Tempest ability to forcefully push opponents into the abyss; deals devastating blows with the Shimmer ability; throws flying drones to the ground, using their explosion against enemies; by sliding on the ground, it avoids wide laser beams emitted by bipedal robots.

The trailer also shows various locations of the Dharma Tower City, the last refuge of humanity after a terrible cataclysm. Finally, the video shows the "Cyber ​​Void" - a visual representation of the Dharma's internal network, in which you have to hack into systems and learn new abilities through a digital dojo.

Ghostrunner tells the story of a world that has already died, but its inhabitants are still trying to survive. The streets of the tower city are dangerous. The housekeeper Mara rules it with an iron fist and does not spare people. Resources dwindle, the strong devour the weak, and chaos consumes the last remnants of order.

The protagonist is the best swordsman in the world, using a monomolecular katana and superhuman reflexes to dodge bullets in gritty first-person combat. The time has come for the last battle - an attempt to fix everything, until humanity has completely died out.

A temporary demo version of the project was recently released - Digital Foundry specialists were satisfied both gameplay and visual component using ray tracing. Ghostrunner will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2020. Steam page promises Russian localization only in the form of an interface - neither subtitles nor voice acting have been announced yet.
