After AWE add-on trailer developers from Remedy Entertainment on the official website of the game details of the upcoming additions. After arriving at a new location, the main character Jesse Fayden will go to pursue a mysterious creature that has been wandering in this area of the building for a long time. According to the developers, in the Control universe, alternate events occur every time supernatural forces invade the world. These incidents may be minor and go unnoticed, but sometimes their result is catastrophic.
Previously, from the Investigation Sector, the Bureau watched world events and collected all kinds of information about them. In order to return this part of the building to the control of the agency, players will have to study the data on numerous alternative incidents, including the situation in Bright Falls - the town where the events unfolded . The developers also mentioned that the writer Alan Wake is featured in AWE, but did not provide more information on this in order not to spoil the surprise.
The upcoming addition will also include arcade machines through which users can launch new game modes, including Horde, and replay boss battles. For the victory in these confrontations, the developers provided prizes, for example, a futuristic costume for Jesse.
Another addition to AWE will be marked by a new type of enemy and a weapon - a grenade launcher that fires sticky bombs. Along with the upcoming DLC, there will be a free update for Control that will add additional checkpoints and other gameplay improvements. Remedy will talk about them closer to the release.
AWE will be available on August 27, 2020 on PC (Epic Games Store), PS4 and Xbox One.
