It is possible that self-driving taxis will appear on the streets of the Russian capital as early as the beginning of the next decade. At least, they talk about it in the Transport Complex of Moscow.
The development of self-management technologies is now occupied by all leading automakers, as well as many IT giants. For example, in our country, Yandex specialists are actively working on the corresponding platform.
“UAVs are no longer the future, but the present: Yandex has already tested its unmanned vehicle in Las Vegas, Israel, Skolkovo and Innopolis. Within 3-4 years, it is planned to launch a robo-taxi,” —
It is assumed that the emergence of robotic taxis will help unload the streets of the capital. Cars with autopilot will be able to choose the best routes, exchanging data with each other in real time.
In addition, robotic vehicles will reduce the number of road accidents. And this, in turn, will again have a positive effect on traffic congestion, since accidents are often the cause of congestion.
We add that full testing of robotic cars on the roads of Moscow is planned to begin in the very near future.
