Team17 and studio NExT have announced that Crown Trick, a roguelike-inspired RPG adventure, will be coming to PC and Nintendo Switch in the third quarter of 2020. The game is also being developed for the PlayStation 4, but the authors are currently focusing on the previously listed versions.
Crown Trick features tactical turn-based combat. The game takes place in a changing maze, which means that each passage of the dungeon is unique. The project puts you in a small enclosed room where you have to fight monsters.
Your enemies stand still until you move. Therefore, you can carefully consider every step you take, look around the room and note the traps to yourself before you begin to act. The latter include skills and interactions with various elements of the environment, for example, to set fire to an enemy or shock him with an electric shock.
