Recently, our educational project Technosphere posted the last lectures from the IT Project and Product Management course. You will gain knowledge in the field of product and project management using the example of Mail.ru Group, understand the role of a product and project manager, learn about development prospects and features of product and project management in a large company. The course discusses the theory and practice of managing a product and everything that is inside (or near it): processes, requirements, metrics, deadlines, launches, and, of course, talks about people and how to communicate with them. The course is taught by Dina Sidorova.

Lecture 1. What is project and product management

What is the difference between a product and a project? What are the roles of a product and project manager? Skill tree and options for their pumping. β€œSo, I want to create a cool product. What to do?" How to analyze the market? The value proposition of the project and product.

Lecture 2. Customer Development, UX research

Why do products fail? What is CustDev and UX research, what is the difference between them? When and how to conduct CustDev and UX research? Is it necessary to believe all the results obtained in the research? And what do you do with this information?

Lecture 3. A / B tests

In continuation of the previous lecture: where is the best place to store the results of your research?

What are metrics? Why are they needed and what can they show? What are the metrics? ROI, LTV, CAC, DAU, MAU, Retention, cohorts, funnels, conversions. How to measure what is not measured by these metrics? Framework for developing product metrics. Metric tracking systems. How are A/B tests usually counted? The right questions are: who are our customers, who are our competitors and why, what market trends can we take advantage of? Various types of analyzes: situational, consumer and competitive. promotion strategy. Positioning. Promotion.

Lecture 8. MVP, startup

What is an MVP and why is it needed? How to make it? Prototyping and user testing.
