Recall that Spektr-RG is a Russian-German project aimed at creating an orbital astrophysical observatory designed to study the Universe in the X-ray wavelength range.

The equipment of the device will include two key tools - eRosita and ART-XC, created in Germany and Russia, respectively. These instruments are designed to combine a large field of view with high sensitivity.

The tasks of the new spacecraft include: studying the variability of the radiation of supermassive black holes, a comprehensive study of gamma-ray bursts and their X-ray afterglows, observing supernova explosions with the study of their evolution, studying black holes and neutron stars in our galaxy, measuring the distances and velocities of pulsars and others galactic sources, etc.
