He discussed this with the Spanish site Meristation. Raul Rubio commented on the hardware of the next generation of consoles, stressing that they have very similar hardware, but the difference in capabilities compared to the current generation will be huge. Everything from the CPU, GPU and speed is impressive. In his opinion, consoles will be relevant for many years.
In the same interview, Raul Rubio spoke at length about the DualSense controller for PlayStation 5, noting that it incorporates a smart application of technologies such as haptic feedback that can make gameplay feel more "responsive". He went further and moved on to discussing the potential uses of biometrics. According to Rubio, they will allow the experience to be adapted to the current state of the player, while fingerprint recognition and vibration simulation will provide an additional sense of what is happening on the screen.
Rubio stressed that Sony Interactive Entertainment has been more daring with the controller than Microsoft, since the Xbox Series X controller is just a development of past ideas. According to the CEO of Tequila Works, the latter is great as a traditional controller, but is not something completely new, unlike the DualSense.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will go on sale in the pre-holiday 2020 period.
