The second (0.2) version of the transport from Jabber to the Telegram network has been released.
What is this?
- This transport allows you to communicate with Telegram users from the Jabber network. An existing Telegram account is required.

Why do it?
- For example, if you want to use Telegram on any device where there is no official client (for example, the Symbian platform).
What can transport do?
- Log in, including using two-factor authentication
— Send and receive messages from/to Telegram
— Work with groups, supergroups and channels
— Synchronize roster and statuses
- Download media from the Telegram network
What can't transport do?
- Initiate a dialogue (i.e. the dialogue must already exist, or you must be the first to write)
- Change account settings
- Voice and video calls
- Secret chats

- Now we use Telethon version 0.15.5
- Improved work stability
- Fixed a bug with endless authorization requests
- Implemented import of a contact list from Telegram (XEP-0144)
- When an unknown contact writes to us, we automatically add him to the roster
- Fixed status processing
- Fixed status spam (by default, statuses are updated no more than once every 60 seconds)
- Now, when the transport is restarted, sessions are automatically raised
- Full support for "service notifications" (someone entered the group, left it, etc.)
