CD Projekt and CD Projekt RED have announced that an improved version of the action role-playing game will be released on the next generation consoles - PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
The next generation version was designed to take advantage of upcoming consoles. The new edition will include a number of visual and technical improvements, including ray tracing and faster downloads in the base game, expansions, and all additional content.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Next Generation Edition will release in 2021 as a standalone edition on PC, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5, and as a free update for anyone who already owns the game on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
Recall that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt tells the story of a monster hunter Geralt, who went in search of a Child of Destiny that can save the world. The plot of the game series is based on the universe of books about the witcher by the Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released on May 19, 2015.
