The sequel was originally developed by Telltale Games, but as a result of bankruptcy and production had to be curtailed. Now, along with the reanimated Telltale, AdHoc Studio is responsible for creating The Wolf Among Us 2.
Π Studios have confirmed that the second part will be handled by many of the developers of the original: directors Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart, screenwriter Pierre Shorette and composer Jared Emerson-Johnson.
The Wolf Among Us 2 will take place at the end of the first season, but still before the events described in the original source (the Fables comic series). As with the first game, the story will be presented in episode format.
So far, the project is in pre-production and does not have a release date. However, it is already known that The Wolf Among Us 2 will be released on PC, where it will be a temporary exclusive to the Epic Games Store, and unnamed consoles.
"The Wolf Among Us is one of the most popular games in Telltale's catalog and we're excited to announce the restart of Wolf 2 development and reassure fans that the series is in good hands," said LCG CEO Jamie Ottilie.
