Thermalright equips Macho Rev.C EU cooling system with a quieter fan

Thermalright has introduced a new processor cooling system called Macho Rev.C EU-Version. The novelty differs from the standard version of Macho Rev.C announced in May this year by a quieter fan. Also, most likely, the novelty will be sold only in Europe.

The original version of Macho Rev.C uses a TY-140AQ 147mm fan that can spin at 600 to 1500 RPM with a noise level of 19-23 dBA. The new version of Macho Rev.C EU uses a 140mm fan TY-14U, which has a rotation speed of 300-1300 rpm, and its noise level is in the range from 15 to 21 dBA. The performance of the new fan is 28,7–125 m3/h, and the maximum static pressure reaches 1,56 mm w.c.

The rest of the Macho Rev.C EU is no different from the regular Macho Rev.C. The cooling system is built on six nickel-plated copper U-shaped heat pipes with a diameter of 6 mm. They are assembled in a nickel-plated copper base, polished almost to a mirror finish. On the tubes there is a rather large radiator, recruited from 31 aluminum plates 0,4 mm thick. The radiator has an asymmetric shape, due to which it should not overlap the slots for RAM modules.

Cooling System Dimensions Macho Rev. C EU without a fan is 140 × 102 × 158 mm, and it weighs 1040 g. If desired, the user will be able to attach another fan to the new product: the appropriate mounts are included. The cooler is compatible with almost all current Intel and AMD processor sockets, except for the too massive Socket TR4. According to the manufacturer, Macho Rev.C EU, despite the slower fan, is able to cope with cooling processors with a TDP of up to 240 W, just like the regular version of Macho Rev.C.

Unfortunately, neither the cost nor the start date of sales of the Macho Rev.C EU-Version cooling system has been specified yet. Whether the novelty will appear in Russia is also not yet known.
