Thermalright has updated its Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme processor cooler. The novelty is simply called: Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme Rev. B, and at first glance it is quite difficult to see in it the differences from the original model.
In fact, even upon closer examination, it turned out to be difficult to detect differences. The only thing that catches the eye is a new sticker on the fan, which is made in black, not red. There is also a noticeable change in the fan mounting design. But these changes are unlikely to have any effect on the performance of the cooling system.
Otherwise Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme Rev. B is still a double tower with eight 6mm heatpipes, a pair of fairly large aluminum heatsinks, and a copper base. A pair of 140mm TY-143 fans with rotation speeds from 600 to 2500 rpm, airflow up to 130 CFM and noise level up to 45 dBA are responsible for blowing. The novelty, like the previous version, is able to cope with heat dissipation up to 320 watts.
Note that for the new version of the cooling system, compatibility with all current Intel processor sockets, including LGA 115x and 20xx, is declared. But from AMD processor sockets for Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme Rev. B only Socket AM4 is declared, while the previous version was compatible with all previous "red" platforms. Although the delivery set and the set of fasteners have not changed in appearance.
Cooling system Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme Rev. B will soon go on sale, and its price should be approximately equal to the price of the original Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme, that is, about 6300 rubles.
