A new edition of the "Remastered Collection" of the classic Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Command & Conquer: Red Alert strategies is being prepared for release. Because of the fears of the players that it will break compatibility with the mods accumulated over 25 years, the copyright holders decided to open the source texts of the key libraries TiberianDawn.dll and RedAlert.dll under the GPL v3.0 license. The license was chosen for compatibility with CnCNet and Open RA.
The game will go on sale on Steam in June, but for now it is being tested. The screenshot shows an example of a mod that shoots a tank with a nuclear weapon.
