The goods purchased on the AliExpress platform, according to Interfax, can be received in the stores of X5 Retail Group.
Recall that X5 Retail Group is one of the leading Russian multi-format food retail companies. She manages the Pyaterochka stores, as well as the Perekrestok and Karusel supermarkets.
So, it is reported that a cooperation agreement was concluded between X5 Omni (a division of X5 that develops new postal services in retail chains) and Cainiao, a subsidiary of Alibaba Group.
Customers will be able to receive goods from AliExpress at parcel terminals and pick-up points of all the networks listed above - Pyaterochka, Perekrestok and Karusel. Now the IT integration of the service is being completed, and the test issuance of orders will begin next month.
The new service will be provided on the basis of the X5 Omni postal service technology platform using X5 logistics. Subsequently, other online stores can be connected to this platform.
