The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has released Toyota's patent application for a so-called "Vehicle fragrance dispenser".
The idea is to introduce a special system into cars that can aromatize the air in the cabin. For this, a special block with a set of aromatic components will be used.
Odors will spread through the air conditioner vents. At the same time, Toyota offers several additional features for its solution.
So, for each of the drivers allowed to drive, the desired flavor can be automatically selected. Personal identification will be carried out by identifying the user's smartphone when it approaches the vehicle.
Moreover, the system is also proposed to be used as an anti-theft agent. So, in the event of an unauthorized start of the engine, tear gas will be sprayed in the face of the hijacker.
However, while the development of Toyota exists only on paper. At present, there is no talk of the practical implementation of a tear gas spraying system.
We add that the patent application was filed in August last year, and the document was published this month.
