Publisher Sega and developers Sumo Digital are gearing up to launch their Team Sonic Racing arcade racing game featuring Sonic the Hedgehog and featuring a ton of colorful tracks. The game will be released on May 21 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (), and a trailer was unveiled for the occasion.
Team Sonic Racing will offer to race (including online) with up to 12 people; play in local co-op on a split screen (with support for up to 4 players); tune your car to achieve maximum speed; change its appearance.
Team Sonic Racing offers a ton of local and online racing modes, including Grand Prix, Exhibition Mode, Time Trial, and Team Adventure Mode. The game focuses on team racing and team victories, there are various team techniques that help comrades defeat opponents.
At the start, the project will have 15 playable characters from the Sonic universe, and all of them are divided into 3 different types: Speed, Technique and Strength. There are 14 so-called fragments - very useful items in defense and defense that help teams gain advantages on the track. Finally, there is also the adventure mode: a small story campaign where players get to know the main game features and characters.
