In February of this year, Stellaris: Console Edition debuted on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, in which the developers tried to transfer to the console all the features of the 4X-strategy for PC, released on May 9, 2016 for Windows, macOS and Linux. In addition to the main game, Paradox Interactive publisher will release all add-ons for it on consoles: , as promised, the Leviathans Story Pack followed. A fresh trailer is dedicated to the launch of the DLC.
βIn Stellaris: Leviathans, the galaxy will once again be filled with adventure and challenge as a young and naive empire exploring the expanses of space will come face to face and ship to ship with a host of new dangers and rewards,β the developers say in the description of the add-on.
Leviathans is a complete story add-on. With its release, new factions like Guardians and Enclaves will appear in the strategy. The first are "stationary communities" that specialize in building defensive lines and are clearly protecting something of value. The second are independent outposts of merchants and craftsmen, always ready to conclude mutually beneficial contracts.
Of course, the Leviathans themselves will also appear: powerful cosmic beings with mysterious origins and motives. They can be fought or explored to gain access to technology and untold treasures. Two ancient fallen empires will rekindle old feuds and clash in the so-called War in Heaven. The player will be able to stay away from the conflict, join one of the parties, or strike at both while they are busy with their titanic confrontation. There will also be new art and music.
Paradox Interactive is not going to stop there: on May 21, Stellaris: Console Edition will receive an add-on with a multiplayer mode, and Utopia will be released in the summer.
