As expected, the adventure of the friendly dinosaur Yoshi in Yoshi's Crafted World has begun on Nintendo Switch. Despite the recent release of the trailer for Yoshi for Beginners, on the day of launch, the Japanese company decided to release another promotional video with gameplay excerpts and listing the main features of the platformer.
Yoshi - one of the most recognizable characters in the Mario universe - travels around the toy world and collects coins. The developers this time used the stylization of a miniature panorama made of papier-mâché and cardboard. At the same time, the levels abound with secrets, and each of them has a reverse side, where additional surprises are hidden.
The trailer shows how the dinosaur solves simple puzzles, turns enemies into eggs, and then launches them at other rivals or elements of the environment (including in order to discover secrets). He is shown looking for lost Poochie puppies and collecting special items for the Kartonkins.
Also showcased are some of the costumes that the hero can wear in Yoshi's Crafted World (some of which can only be obtained with Amiibo figures). If you encounter difficult places, you can always switch to a calm mode in order to fly over chasms and moving platforms without any problems. There is also a co-op for two. Some mini-games and boss fights are also on display.
Nintendo unveiled a new installment of Yoshi's almost two years ago at E3 2017, under a working title. The Switch exclusive was originally expected to launch in 2018, but has been pushed back to 2019. A platformer from the Good-Feel team based on the Unreal Engine costs a considerable 4199 rubles on our market, which is in line with Nintendo's pricing policy.
