Publisher Focus Home Interactive and developers from Saber Interactive are preparing for the launch of World War Z, created based on the Paramount Pictures film of the same name ("World War Z" with Brad Pitt). The third-person co-op shooter will release on April 16 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It has already received a themed launch trailer.
Under the song War of the American rock band Black Stone Cherry, a uniform madness takes place in the video. Endless hordes of the fast-moving dead pour through the streets, trying to overtake a small group of survivors, armed to the teeth with automatic weapons, heavy machine guns, grenade launchers and other deadly arsenal.
The game is based on the dynamic Swarm Engine from Saber Interactive itself, which can process hundreds of zombies on the screen at the same time. Moreover, the latter are able to move and strike both as a single organism and breaking into separate attackers. In addition to ordinary opponents, there are also special types of zombies, to which non-standard tactics should be used. The virtual director will adapt to the style of passing players, constantly throwing up surprises in the form of additional enemies or items to help in the passage.
The player can choose from six different classes (Ranger, Demoman, Executioner, Medic, Technician, and Fighter), each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The gameplay is designed for passing in a team of four people. There are story chapters in New York, Jerusalem, Moscow and Tokyo, as well as multiplayer skirmishes involving two teams and hordes of the dead.
By pre-order, the action movie will cost 1199 rubles in the Epic Games Store (it is not sold on Steam). The minimum system requirements for World War Z on PC are quite modest: an Intel Core i5-750 processor with a frequency of 2,67 GHz or higher, 8 GB of RAM and an integrated Intel HD Graphics 530-class accelerator.
