In March, the British studio Rebellion Developments presented four projects at once in its sniper series, among which was the re-release of Sniper Elite V2. Now the developers have announced that the game will be released on May 14, and now it can be purchased on Steam with a 10 percent discount, for 557,1 rubles (the owners of the original will get the update for 259 rubles). At the same time, a trailer was released, clearly demonstrating the significant differences between the reissue and the original.
The key innovation of the re-release is prettier graphics, including improved post-processing effects and particles, better geometry and textures, a redesigned lighting system, 4K and HDR support (not on all platforms). New imaging technology makes the X-ray kill chamber even more spectacular.
The second feature is the presence of all previously released content, including new fronts in three fresh campaign levels, the Elimination of the Fuhrer mission and a lot of legendary weapons like the Lee-Enfield MK III rifle, M1D Garand, M1 carbine and so on. A photo mode has also been added that allows you to pause the game, view the battle frame by frame, select the camera position, apply a filter, adjust the lighting and share the result with the community.
There are also new playable characters - for the first time it will be possible to go through the campaign and play in multiplayer mode with one of 7 new characters from the Zombie Army series from the same Rebellion. Seven multiplayer and co-op modes are included (up to 16 players on some systems).
Recall: the game tells about the elite US sniper Carl Fairbairn, abandoned in Berlin on the eve of his fall. The main task is to prevent the Red Army from getting into the hands of the V-2 rocket, to help scientists who are inclined to defect to the United States, and to eliminate everyone who stands in the way. The main weapon in the epicenter of the confrontation between the two armies is stealth, accuracy and composure.
Third-person shooter Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will be released on May 14 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch.
