Trailer Trine: Ultimate Collection - all the tales in one collection
Finnish studio Frozenbyte announced the fourth installment of his magical platform Trine series back in October 2018, and the debut trailer and screenshots ΠΎΠΏΡΠ±Π»ΠΈΠΊΠΎΠ²Π°Π»Π° in March. The game will be released in the fall on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and the publisher is Modus Games. Now the developers have presented a trailer for Trine: Ultimate Collection, a collection of all four parts.
The above video shows excerpts of the gameplay of Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: Artifacts of Power and Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince. Pre-orders are already being accepted for a collection of incredible adventures of the trio of heroes. The kit will be released in the fall, simultaneously with the fourth part.
The fourth part will tell a new story of old characters: the wizard Amadeus, the knight Pontius and the thief Zoe, who will go to save the disappeared Prince Celia, familiar from the cooperative action game Nine Parchments from the same studio. As they travel through the magical kingdom, they will fight monsters that have entered the world from the princeβs nightmares. As usual, co-op is provided.
Although Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince page available on Steam, pre-orders, including physical versions, are accepted only on the official website. The game itself is $29,99, while Trine: Ultimate Collection is $49,99. As a bonus, the collector's edition is promised a physical map of the Trine world, a double-sided cover, original music albums from all four games in the series, and a digital book with drawings from Trine 4.
Frozenbyte hasn't had much luck with its games in recent years: the departure from the classic 2,5D platformer formula Trine 3: Artifacts of Power was criticized for awkward controls, while stealth game Shadwen, action games Has-Been Heroes and Nine Parchments failed to gain popularity and were met with lukewarm press reviews. To the delight of fans, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will return to the proven formula of the first two games in the series.
