Role-playing co-op shooter Tom Clancy's The Division 2 was released March 15 on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Enough time has passed for Ubisoft to garner positive feedback from the press and make traditional trailers with a selection of delights accompanied by gameplay snippets.
For example, DTF staff called the game gigantic, and Gameguru praised the abundance of post-story material, noting that they have become an order of magnitude meaner and more demanding. βCatches from the first minutes,β wrote Kanobu, and βIgromaniaβ called the game noticeably more thoughtful. Finally, Shazoo journalists reported an unrealistic immersion from the first shot.
A similar English-language trailer contains a slightly different cutting of the gameplay. Game Informer gave the game a 9 out of 10 and said it rivals the best shooters available; Gamesradar+ rated the action movie 4,5 out of 5; Destructoid was praised for its ton of complex post-story content; Newsweek called The Division a real blast.
Alexey Likhachev in our review was also very pleased with The Division 2, giving the cooperative role-playing shooter 9 points out of 10. He praised the game for the variety of atmospheric locations, many tasks and entertainment in the open world, a constant sense of progress, many types of enemies and factions, fascinating mechanics equipment chases, a more casual version of the Dark Zone, a clan system. With all the merits of The Division 2 as a service game in the open world, you should not expect an exciting story from it.
By the way, not so long ago, the developers released a special video with a story about creating sound effects for The Division 2. The video introduces viewers to talented people from different parts of the world, from Chernobyl to Washington, thanks to which, according to the authors, they managed to achieve the effect of complete immersion in the game world.
