Three spacecraft of the Gonets-M series will be launched on December 26. This was reported by TASS, citing information received from the management of JSC Satellite System Gonets.
The Gonets-M devices are the basis of the Gonets-D1M personal satellite communication platform. These satellites are designed to organize mobile communications for mobile and landline subscribers anywhere in the world.
It is reported that three Gonets-M spacecraft have already been delivered to the Plesetsk cosmodrome. The launch will be carried out using a Rokot launch vehicle.
The Gonets-M satellites are launched into a circular low-Earth orbit at an altitude of 1350β1500 km. This makes it possible to install small-sized transmitting and receiving equipment on Earth.
Let us add that the Gonets-D1M system allows you to solve a variety of problems. This is, in particular, environmental, industrial and scientific monitoring; communications in remote regions with undeveloped infrastructure; emergency communications; organization of global departmental and corporate data networks, etc.
