BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment has set a release date for The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan interactive thriller from Supermassive Games.
The game will premiere on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on August 30 this year. As the SoftClub company clarifies, the project will be fully translated into Russian. If you decide to pre-order, you'll get access to a special Curator's Cut mode that will allow you to look at the story from a new angle. Pre-order owners will be able to unlock it immediately after beating the main story. All other players will receive this mode as a free update, but later.
Curator's Cut will offer:
- an alternative look at already completed scenes from the point of view of other characters;
- new options for decisions and choices in each episode, affecting the overall course of history;
- as well as new episodes and secrets not featured in the main game.
“The Curator's Cut differs from the traditional director's cut in that it provides new ways to influence the story. Players will see familiar events from the point of view of characters whose actions they could not previously control, and thus will be able to significantly change the course of events, - says the project's executive producer Pete Samuels (Pete Samuels). - The mode will add depth to what is happening and allow you to better understand the unfolding events. Players are in for a never-before-seen story interaction experience, and we look forward to when everyone can experience this mode."
Man of Medan is part of The Dark Pictures anthology of games, united by the common style of cinematic thrillers. Each chapter is a separate independent work with its own plot, scene and characters. In the case of Man of Medan, we're told of friends taking to the high seas on a speedboat to have fun and dive at the site of a rumored World War II shipwreck.
