Fans of the aquatic world will be able to view underwater inhabitants inside a huge transparent pipe, the height of which is enough to stand at full height.
The submarine is air-conditioned and can accommodate 24 passengers and two pilots. The length of the boat is 15,4 meters, weight is 55 kilograms. The device regulates the immersion depth using the main 000-kg and additional 4000-kg ballasts. Propulsion is powered by two 1800 horsepower main engines and four 27 horsepower Vertran auxiliary engines.
A relatively cheap lead-acid battery is used to supply electricity because it does not require much energy to power the device. In addition, the safety of the device was important to the company, so the use of lithium-ion batteries was undesirable due to . Eliminating the lithium-ion battery allowed the company to reduce the cost of the boat. The battery energy is enough for 14 hours of underwater tourism at a speed of about 5,5 km/h.
After diving to greater depths, pilots can illuminate the surrounding area with ten LED lights with a total output of 20 lumens. Control of the submarine is simplified as much as possible, so pilots use only the touch screen and controller. If problems arise, pilots can take control of the boat's internal systems into their own hands.
The DeepView 24 submarine was developed for the Vietnamese chain of resorts and amusement parks Vinpearl. Tourists will be able to dive underwater as early as December 2020, not far from the Vietnamese island of Hon Tre. In addition to the presented DeepView 24 device, Triton plans to release modifications that can accommodate from 12 to 66 passengers.
