Twitter has blocked more than 32 accounts associated with the Chinese government, Russia and Turkey

The message says that the administration of Twitter has decided to block accounts because they were used in "information operations." The company considered that all these accounts were used to distribute data that is beneficial to the governments of the countries mentioned. In addition, the company shared data associated with deleted accounts with its partners, including the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) and the Stanford Internet Observatory (SIO).

As for the accounts from Russia, they were linked to the Actual Politics web resource, which, according to Twitter, is sponsored by the authorities and is engaged in state propaganda. The accounts associated with this website have been suspended because they violate the social network's policy on manipulation of public opinion. During the audit, Twitter administrators found that a real network was formed from the accounts, used for the coordinated dissemination of information for political purposes. It is also noted that the resource "Actual Politics" was engaged in promoting the interests of the United Russia party and conducted other activities in which the country's authorities were interested.
