Studio Playtonic Games has published a new trailer platformer Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, which introduced the system of "alternative level construction".
There will be 20 levels in the game, but as we travel, our heroes will discover secrets and solve puzzles that dynamically transform each location. Thus, their total number will increase to 40. "Rebuild the levels by connecting electricity, flood them with water or literally turn them upside down to open up new challenges," the authors said.
For example, in the trailer, you can see how the levels freeze or strong winds begin to blow on them, allowing you to fly, or they turn into rainforests, due to which additional platform elements appear on the location.
Yooka and Laylee are back in a brand new hybrid platform adventure! says the project description. "They'll have to run, jump, and roll through tons of 2D levels, solve puzzles, and collect all the king bee to take on Capital B in an incredible lair!" Development is underway for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. IN
