One of the Roscosmos state corporation's enterprises, the Russian Space Systems (RSS) holding company, will participate in the initiative. The launch of the new Earth remote sensing satellite is tentatively scheduled for 2024.

The spacecraft will weigh between 120 and 150 kg and is expected to capture images of the Earth's surface with a resolution of approximately one meter.

"The project is being co-financed by RKS, and we are partially funding it ourselves. Thus, we are jointly developing a new universal satellite platform that will be in demand for remote sensing, communications, and scientific and technological satellites," said Mr. Ivanenko.
