Tesla has announced a number of improvements to its Model S and Model X electric vehicles. In particular, the transmission has been upgraded, thanks to which the Model S Long Range sedan now has a range of 370 miles (595 km), and the Model X Long Range crossover - 325 miles ( 523 km).
At the same time, as Tesla reported, the battery capacity of both models remained the same - 100 kWh.
The electric vehicle maker also announced that the low-cost Standard Range S and Model X models, which were quietly removed from the listings on Tesla's website a month ago, are again available for purchase.
These announcements were made by the company ahead of Tesla's first-quarter earnings report. According to analysts, the company made losses in the reporting quarter.
