β€œMany thanks for the warm response to the new Starlink content shown during the February Nintendo Direct. With the announcement of new content in April of this year, we felt it was important to provide an update on physical toys. Starlink: Battle for Atlas has been a passion for us from the beginning, so we're incredibly proud of the modular Starship technology we've developed and how well players are responding to it.

However, despite strong and ongoing support from the community, sales of Starlink: Battle for Atlas were below expectations. Because of this, we recently made the decision not to release any additional physical toys for the Spring Update and beyond.

To please our passionate and dedicated community, we are currently hard at work on the game's biggest update ever and are excited to announce to everyone that there will be new collectible digital ships, pilots and weapons. In addition, there will be a plethora of free content that expands the entertainment experience: additional missions, tasks and new activities in the Atlas universe. Among other things, there will also be content inspired by community suggestions - for example, Outlaw Racing, ”wrote the developers.

In our review, Alexei Likhachev pointed out the monotony of entertainment, mediocre story and dreary activities that have to be done in order to increase the level between story missions as the main shortcomings of Starlink: Battle for Atlas. There are also advantages: this is a large star system with seven unique planets, and beautiful locations without any procedural generation, and a good combat system, and exciting battles with large and strong opponents. There have been several updates since launch, so the game could have gotten better in some ways.
