At its latest investor meeting, Ubisoft confirmed that it would consider mergers and acquisitions with other studios and companies in the industry. CEO Yves Guillemot also suggested that the COVID-19 pandemic could affect the publisher's business and priorities.
βThese days we are carefully studying the market, and if there is an opportunity, we will take it,β Guillemot said. βAt the same time, we have to deal with new issues [due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic], so it will take a little longer. We will definitely consider [purchasing other studios] carefully.β
