A Ubisoft spokesperson stressed that the company wants to keep the in-game balance so that users do not complain about the impact of microtransactions on gameplay.

β€œOn October 1, several time-saving items (Skill Point Packs, XP Boosts, Cosmetic Packs, and more) were added to the game. They were available in our store for a few hours, but we didn't plan to add them now - it's a mistake. These items were designed as an added bonus for users who linger in the game. The added items were not intended to give any advantage over other players. In addition, the Ghost War PvP mode has been carefully balanced to ensure parity regardless of progress,” Ubisoft Community Manager said in a statement.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint was released on October 4, 2019 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The project received mixed reviews, scoring only 57 points on Metacritic. Users who pre-ordered the extended versions of the game received access to the shooter three days earlier. This means that only they had the opportunity to purchase the aforementioned in-game bonuses.
