Popular ad-blocking extension UBlock Origin gone from the list available for the Microsoft Edge browser. We are talking about the application store for a web browser from Redmond.

uBlock Origin removed from Microsoft Edge extension store

At the moment, the problem can be solved in two ways. The first involves installing the extension from Chrome storeas they are compatible with Microsoft Edge. The second option is to visit Page extensions directly and click the Get button there to install the plugin. Extension developer Nick Rolls has already acknowledged the problem and has contacted Microsoft to fix the glitch.

It has not yet been clarified why uBlock Origin disappeared from the store. Perhaps it's a simple glitch, or maybe Google intervened, which does not leave hopes to reduce the audience of users using ad blockers.

Recall that earlier in Microsoft Edge already появились many features that are already implemented in other browsers. For example, this is a dark theme and a built-in translator. If the first does not surprise anyone, then the second is quite interesting, given that this feature is built into the web browser itself and does not require the installation of additional extensions.

We also note that previously Microsoft released the first available assembly of the program for macOS. A Linux version has not yet been announced, and there is no Windows 7/8/8.1 version yet. However, in the latter case, the release is expected, obviously, after the appearance of a full beta version or shortly before the release, which will take place this year.
