Also, by default, the Tracker service was activated, which automatically indexes files and keeps track of recent access to files. This is reminiscent of mechanisms in Windows and macOS.
The Linux kernel itself has been updated to version 5.0. This build adds support for AMD Radeon RX Vega and Intel Cannonlake GPUs, Raspberry Pi 3B/3B+ boards, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. Support for USB 3.2 and Type-C has also been expanded, and performance has improved in the area of power consumption. Other tools have also been updated, including programming language compilers, the QEMU emulator, and all major client applications.
Kubuntu has KDE Plasma 5.15 and KDE Applications 18.12.3. Also now uses a double click to open files and directories. The usual behavior for Plasma can be returned in the settings.
