Dell announced the release of more powerful configurations of the XPS 13 Developer Edition portable computer running the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS operating system.

We are talking about laptops on the tenth generation Intel Core processor (Comet Lake platform). Until now, versions have been available based on the Core i5-10210U chip, which has four cores (eight threads) and runs at a clock speed of 1,6 to 4,2 GHz. The processor is also equipped with an Intel UHD Graphics graphics controller.

The new versions of the Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition use the Core i7-10710U processor, which contains six cores with the ability to simultaneously process up to 12 instruction streams and operates at frequencies up to 4,7 GHz. The amount of RAM LPDDR3-2133 reaches 16 GB. Available in 1TB and 2TB SSD options.

The 13,3-inch InfinityEdge display has a resolution of 4K (3840 × 2160 pixels). Implemented support for touch control.

All versions have Wi-Fi 802.11ax and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless adapters, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a USB 3.1 Type-C connector, a standard audio jack and a microSD slot. The battery with a capacity of 52 Wh is responsible for the autonomy of the device.

It is noted that a total of 18 different configurations of the Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition are currently available. The price starts at $1100.
