At the age of 68 died Joe Armstrong (Joe Armstrong), one of the creators of the functional programming language Erlang, also known for his developments in the field of fault-tolerant distributed systems. The Erlang language was created in 1986 in the Ericsson laboratory, together with Robert Virding and Mike Williams, and in 1998 it was transferred to the category of open projects.
