Phoenix Labs has announced that the number of players in Dauntless has exceeded 4 million.
The shareware multiplayer action game was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (Epic Games Store) on May 21st. Until then, Dauntless was in Early Access on PC. According to the developers, 24 new players joined the project in the first 500 hours. There will be more in the future as Phoenix Labs intends to release Dauntless on Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms.
Separately, it is worth mentioning that Dauntless supports cross-platform multiplayer on all three platforms. Before it, this feature was only in Fortnite and Rocket League.
