Not so long ago, the Russian Post launched the Easy Return service, but not everyone knows about it, even in post offices. And here the question is not even “when?”, But “who?” mess up will lose my parcel. I’ll write right away that the epic has just begun and how it will end is not yet clear.

The case began with the fact that I decided to buy a used motherboard for a cell phone. The phone lies idle with a broken board, and somehow I feel sorry for him. After rummaging around on the Internet, I found offers (in Russia) of about 5 tr. and almost agreed with the inevitable, but looking at Aliexpress saw offers half the price. Why not? (This is where the main mistake was.)

Well, as they say, all names are fictitious and any coincidence is accidental ...

I found a seller who has a good rating, although not many shipments, good reviews and beautiful pictures. Below was even an instruction on how to properly replace it so as not to damage the product. The total cost was just over 2500r, which, in principle, is acceptable.

Friendly seller, sent me pictures like my board, about how it is not locked, all the gigabytes are in place, and the fingerprint works great. I prepared to wait a month, although something about 2 weeks was announced.

The product arrived on time and I made a note of receipt on the site. After a cursory check, a problem with the modem was discovered (most likely) - there was no sound during the conversation and all kinds of freezes were observed. I immediately opened a dispute, sent a video and pictures of the board, and specifically that the modem was without a compound, was accordingly filmed and apparently was poorly planted. I did not begin to repair it, because I did not know what condition the board was under it.

Huangcheng (apparently this is the name) turned out to be a talkative Chinese and gave me a lot of advice on how to properly check the board, assured me that the board was fully functional, but I don’t know how to check it correctly, etc. A few days later, he even kindly offered me to agree to the dispute, indicating the refund amount "0 r".

When I clicked on the Aliexpress website on "Guaranteed Money Back" (under my product), I saw:

Before that, I have already made a refund for damaged goods, so, in principle, I know how this happens. Throwing more "evidence" into the dispute that I did not get what I wanted when buying, I again began to wait. A few days later, I received a notification from Aliexpress that it was time to end the dispute and was asked to make a “Return of goods and funds”. That is, I have to send the fee back and spend the money on shipping (then I didn’t know about the Easy Return service yet). Hm, okay...

Interesting begins

Arriving at the post office, I said that I want to send a parcel to China.

Once I already had to return an 8GB flash drive, since I bought it for 256GB. Memories flashed before my eyes as I filled out an incomprehensible postal form for international shipments, tried to estimate the cost of the drive and not make mistakes in the correctness of the fields, indicating the address and full name of the recipient (later it will be clear why).

In the morning, our post office is empty and only three employees were bored waiting for visitors. I went to the first window with my board packed in a foam box. The postal employee asked if I wanted to return the product previously purchased on Aliexpress, to which I answered in the affirmative.

- There are no packages, we can offer a box ... - she said.
“I don’t care…” I replied.
But I don't know how to send it.

My parcel passed into the hands of the second postal employee. I moved to the second window. People began to arrive and take empty seats.

Let's just wrap it with duct tape, shall we? suggested a second employee.
– No, according to the rules you need a box or a package. answered the first.
- Let me see? - suggested an employee from the third window.

I carefully switched places with the queue, freeing the second window and taking the third one.

- It's so simple! This is a quick return.
- ???
- Now we will quickly weigh, issue. You can also wrap it with tape.

- So, 38 grams, tell me your last name and first name.
- Shouldn't I fill out a form with the address and name of the recipient?
- No, we have an agreement, they will sort it out themselves ...
– No address and full name???
- Of course!

I give my data, a check comes out of the cash register. The employee marks the track number with a dot.

And it was at that moment that I realized that most likely I would no longer see either the parcel or the money for it.

The first thing I did when I got to my computer was to punch the issued track number on the pochta.ru website.

The number breaks through - it pleases. But "Mother's Day" was last week... Maybe they are already aiming for 2020?

Dear Huangcheng immediately wrote me “Tracking ticket no.”, like the track is not tracked. To which I sent him a photo of the check. In the Aliexpress system, the status changed to "buyer add tracking details". Well add, so add. True, the refund period has doubled (in Fig. 5., vs. Fig. 2.)

Conclusion

I have a double feeling from the Easy Return service. After reading the forums on this topic, I did not understand whether everything went right. Shouldn't the item I'm buying be labeled "Free Returns" or should I send the package for money as a small package? On the forums, the names differ, I met both "Unconditional return" and "Guaranteed return". The check says the amount “Shipping fee”, but they don’t take money. On the website of the Russian Post (without registration), it was not possible to find complete information about the service.

The Aliexpress website clarified the situation a little, which says that the product must have the “Free Returns” badge, but then, how did I use the service? Will the parcel reach the sender?
