Ilya Chugin (x512) and Gerasim Troeglazov (3dEyes) demonstrated new achievements in porting NVIDIA graphics drivers to Haiku OS. The port is being developed using open-source kernel modules. Linux, published by NVIDIA and used in its proprietary drivers, as well as the user-space Vulkan driver NVK from Mesa. A distinctive feature of the approach used is the ability to avoid porting the Nouveau driver from the kernel. Linux, tied to Libdrm and specific to Linux Kernel subsystems. It was demonstrated that at the current stage of the port's development, games such as STALKER — Clear Sky (openxray), Doom 3 (dhewm3), Minecraft (1.20.4), and AssaultCube were able to run with hardware acceleration.
