Leak: Additional Intel Core Chip Specifications from i5-9300H to i9-9980HK

The fact that Intel is preparing new ninth-generation H-series chips for portable computers (including the Core i9-9980HK) has been known for a long time. Despite this, the manufacturer is in no hurry to disclose all the characteristics of future processors. Chinese users probably decided to help the company in this, posting data on the specifications of new chips on the Baidu forum.

Leak: Additional Intel Core Chip Specifications from i5-9300H to i9-9980HK

Intel previously revealed a number of specifications for the Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9 processors that represent the Coffee Lake-H Refresh family. The information published on the Chinese forum fills in the gaps that were left after the data came from Intel. Since the data is not official, it can be assumed that in the end they will not be completely accurate.

The Core i9 and Core i7 processors are equipped with 8 and 6 Hyper-Threading Cores, as well as 16 MB and 12 MB of L3 cache, respectively. Core i5 chips are equipped with 4 Hyper-Threading cores and 8 MB of L3 cache. The TDP of all ninth-generation H-series chips is 45W. The processors in question are equipped with an Intel Gen9.5 graphics solution. Presumably, the chips will receive integrated UGD Graphics 630 iGPU graphics, which has already been seen in Coffee Lake-H processors. The nominal clock frequency of the GPU is 350 MHz, but when overclocked, it increases depending on the specific chip model.

The flagship product of this series is the Core i9-9980HK (2,4 GHz) chip, which also has an unlocked overclocking multiplier. In single-core mode, the chip operates at a frequency of up to 5 GHz, while in multi-core mode this figure is 4,2 GHz. It is followed by the Core i9-9880H, which hits 4,8GHz and 4,1GHz in single-core and multi-core modes, respectively. The report also says that the Core i7-9850H and Core i7-9750H chips operate at a base frequency of 2,6 GHz, but the older version shows better results when tested in single-core and multi-core modes. The Core i5-9400H and Core i5-9300H processors run at 2,5GHz and 2,4GHz respectively.

It is expected that the production of the processors in question will begin in the second quarter of 2019. They will be used to create productive portable computers, and will also serve as the basis for creating powerful compact workstations.
