Leak reveals different rear camera design for Galaxy S11 Plus

The Samsung Galaxy S11 is scheduled to launch in February next year, likely a little later than MWC 2020 in Barcelona. While Samsung isn't saying anything about the Galaxy S11 series, various leaks and rumors have already given us quite a broad view about what to expect from the new series of flagship devices.

Leak reveals different rear camera design for Galaxy S11 Plus

Now tipster Steve H.McFly, aka OnLeaks, has tweeted about the Galaxy S11 Plus, showing the massive camera on the back of the device and adding:

β€œIt appears that the renders I shared a month ago were based on an early prototype that had a different rear camera module layout. Here is an updated rendering based on the latest prototype I received, which I assume is in its final configuration..."

As previously reported, the camera on the Galaxy S11 Plus may include a 108-megapixel sensor, more expensive and advanced than that used in Xiaomi (ISOCELL Bright HMX 1/1,3β€³); ultra-wide-angle module; a module with a periscope-like 5x telephoto lens and a 48-megapixel sensor; as well as a ToF volume capture sensor. In addition, there is a flash on the lower right side of the body.

Among other features of the rear camera, previously mentioned new functions such as Single Take Photo (possibly automatically intelligent selection of the most successful photo from a series), Night Hyperlapse (night time-lapse shooting), Director's View (a kind of director's mode) and support for 8K video. By the way, the Snapdragon 865 does support 8K video recording.

The base price of the Galaxy S11 series is expected to be around €609 for the 128GB S11E version.
