Leak: Chromium-Based Early Beta of Microsoft Edge Released

Online appeared beta version of Microsoft Edge based on the Chromium engine. While this is an early build that is not yet posted on official browser page where Windows 10 users can select three different channels. There's Microsoft Edge Canary, Microsoft Edge Dev, and Microsoft Edge Beta.

True, these versions are currently not available for Windows 7 and 8.1, so far the assembly is only designed for the "top ten". The Edge browser beta is somewhat similar to the Slow ring in the Windows Insider program. If you select it, then updates will come every 6 weeks. It is also the most stable build at the moment.

Earlier, we recall appeared "early" assembly for macOS, which is already available for download. A Linux variant is not yet available, but the company is expected to introduce one in due course.

In addition, the updated Edge browser will be available to users of Windows 7 and 8, as well as Android and iOS mobile operating systems. Although in the latter cases, an assembly based on the old rendering engine is still used, and the timing of the release of the new one has not yet been announced.
