Red Hat CFO fired

Eric Shander dismissed from his position as Red Hat's CFO without paying the $4 million bonus established before IBM's acquisition of Red Hat. The decision was made by the Red Hat board of directors and approved by IBM. Violation of Red Hat operating standards is cited as a reason for dismissal without pay. The press secretary refused to provide more detailed information about the reasons for the dismissal, but explained that the company’s accounting and financial statements are in perfect order.

Eric was hired by Red Hat in 2015, initially serving as acting CFO, and was confirmed as permanent CFO in 2017. Prior to joining Red Hat, Eric Schander held various finance positions at IBM and Lenovo.
