Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Wales Interactive has postponed the release of the horror film Maid of Sker from its previously scheduled release in June to July - this month the game will go on sale on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. According to the developers, additional time will also allow to release a better product. Boxed editions of Maid of Sker for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will go on sale on the day of release.
Maid of Sker is inspired by a Welsh maid love story. The game is set in 1898 in and around Sker House. Young musician Thomas Evans falls in love with a woman and will do anything to save her. He will have to face the Quiet People - the nightmare of one of the most famous haunted houses in the UK.
The gameplay of Maid of Sker will be similar to and other horror games where you roam the area and escape from monsters or lure them into a trap. According to Wales Interactive, enemy AI will be sound-based, which will be a feature of the horror game mechanics.
Maid of Sker will also be released on Nintendo Switch, but only in October.
