Huawei continues to actively develop many areas, including mobile and cloud services. It is noted that in monetary terms, Huawei's budget for research and development in 2018 was inferior to the investments of Amazon, Alphabet and Samsung.
Statistics show that compared to 2014, Huawei's research budget grew by 149%, which allowed it to outperform Apple, Microsoft and Samsung in the considered time period.
It is also worth noting that last year Huawei's investment in research and development amounted to 14% of the manufacturer's income. This indicator is the second among the largest companies and is second only to Alphabet, which has invested 16% of income in research.
It should be noted that the company continues to actively develop and promote its own equipment designed for fifth generation communication networks.
