Thunderbird 100 beta release integrates Matrix protocol support

The beta release of the Thunderbird 100 email client includes a built-in client for the Matrix decentralized communications system, which is included by default. The implementation supports advanced features such as end-to-end encryption, sending invitations, lazy loading of participants, and editing sent messages.

Other changes in Thunderbird 100 include:

  • An item for selecting all messages at once has been added to the context menu of the message editing interface.
  • Added support for importing address books in SQLite format.
  • Added support for importing address books in the form of CSV with the separation of entries with the symbol ";".
  • Added the ability to export the current profile to the data import tab.
  • Autosave of OpenPGP public keys from attachments and headers is provided.
  • In the message composition window, an indicator for the expiration of the recipient's OpenPGP keys has been implemented.
