Call of Duty 2020 won't have jetpacks for sure

Treyarch Design Director David Vonderhaar has confirmed on Twitter that the next Call of Duty game will be without jetpacks.

Jetpacks have been introduced into Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. According to Vonderhaar, he is still traumatized by how poorly the players received this innovation. In the sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, there were no backpacks. And it looks like this gadget won't be making a comeback in Call of Duty 2020. “Too fresh memories.
