CERN has learned to imitate the jets of supermassive black holes - they turned out just like real ones

Jets—plasma jets—of supermassive black holes are clearly visible in many spectra from the gamma-ray range to the visible. But this does not mean that scientists fully understand the microphysics of jets. What actually happens in a cloud of plasma flying at near-light speed is still a mystery, which theory and modeling are trying to answer.
