Developers from Phoenix Labs boasted the news that more than 10 million users have already played Dauntless. Now there are about four times more players than during the open beta testing on PC, and after all, only three weeks have passed since the release on the Epic Games Store and on consoles.
It is noteworthy that in May the project became the most popular shareware game on the PlayStation 4, overtaking even the giant in the face of Fortnite. During this time, the creators managed to release two small patches, and in July they plan to offer fans the first major update with some new challenges.
During the Nintendo Direct presentation, Dauntless was announced for release on the Nintendo Switch, with the game coming to the hybrid console later this year. Most likely, there it will support cross-play and cross-platform progress on all systems - now the owners of PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One not only meet together in the same lobby, but can also transfer their progress from one platform to another.
